It has been a crazy month here at Simply English Edinburgh! We have had a fantastic month with lots of new arriving students every week. Our workshops are full every week and our activities are becoming the social high of the week for some students. One student even told us he can’t wait to be a part of the ‘beer meetings’.

The last few weeks however we have been more creative with the activities. Last week we went to the Museum on the Mound. A museum in Edinburgh where you can see £1,000,000 and also explore the history of banking in Scotland. We really enjoyed this adventure. Afterwards we went of coffee and a chat in a cafe on The Royal Mile and discussed various things from jobs and education to our pets and love of animals!

This week we decided to do a Ghost Tour of Edinburgh. This tour operated by City Explorers is a free tour and you tip the guide at the end! Our tour leader was Stevie and he had a wealth of knowledge regarding the ghosts and mysteries of the city. The tour brought us up the Royal Mile towards the castle and then down Victoria Street and into Greyfriars Cemetery. All our students were sufficiently scared by the end of the night.

Next week we are hosting a quiz in the school. There will be a prize for the winning team and everyone will get sweets and have a good time! Lorraine and Michelle have spent a long time looking for suitable questions which should have the students baffled!
